True or False #5

A majority of late talkers do make improvements in their language skills and can obtain average language scores by school-going age, thus appearing to have ‘caught up’ with their peers.

But! Even though their language scores are within average, late talkers continue to have lower scores on some aspects of language compared to their peers who are not late talkers.

Also, there are a proportion of late talkers who do not grow out of their language delay and continue to have difficulties with language skills.

So, do support your child in his/her language development as early as possible.
